Meet Laura
Laura graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2021, completing an intercalated degree in Comparative Pathology in addition to studying Veterinary Medicine. She is a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
She has since worked in a busy GP practice in Buckinghamshire, treating a wide variety of patients. In addition to her passion for the effective management of pain in all species, she has a particular interest in small animal medicine and has completed extensive Continued Professional Development in this area. Her greatest satisfaction in her work is found supporting her clients as they navigate the management of complex health conditions, particularly in older animals.
Laura is a keen equestrian and has lived with and ridden horses for twenty years. Her interests lie in classical dressage, but she has experience in most disciplines, understands the biomechanics of the equestrian athlete and the importance of keeping all horses pain free, regardless of whether they are in work or not.
Having had her own health struggles, Laura has first hand experience of living with chronic pain, and the relief a holistic approach to pain management can bring. This inspired her to learn the practice of acupuncture, and to bring it to her patients in an evidence-based manner.
